Hire Trusted Movers helps you get moving quotes by matching your request with moving companies, and this policy explains what we do with your information along the way.

This Privacy Policy applies to www.hiretrustedmovers.com and any other site or form we run under the Hire Trusted Movers name (the "Site"). "We", "us" and "our" mean Hire Trusted Movers. By using the Site or submitting a quote request, you agree to the practices described here.

We are a lead generation and matching service. We are not a moving company, we do not move your belongings, and we are not a party to your agreement with any mover.

Information we collect

We collect the information you give us and some information your device sends automatically.

Information you provide. When you request a quote, call us or contact us, we may collect:

• Your name, email address and phone number

• Your current and destination addresses or ZIP/postal codes

• Your move date, home size, inventory and any notes you add

• Any messages you send us and records of calls with us

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we may collect your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring website or ad, access times, and approximate location based on your IP address.

Information from others. We may receive lead information from advertising platforms (such as Google and Meta) when you submit a form through an ad, and from moving companies about the status or outcome of your quote request.

We do not ask for payment card numbers, Social Security numbers or government ID numbers, and you should not send them to us.

How we use your information

We use your information to get you moving quotes and to run and improve the Site. Specifically, we use it to:

• Match your request with moving companies that serve your route and send them your details

• Contact you by phone, text or email about your quote request

• Verify and de-duplicate requests, and prevent spam and fraud

• Measure and improve our ads, Site and service, including understanding which ads lead to completed requests

• Respond to your questions and requests

• Comply with the law and enforce our terms

We may also use your contact details to tell you about related services, such as storage or other home services, where the law allows. You can opt out at any time (see Your choices and rights).

How we share your information

When you submit a quote request, we share it with moving companies so they can contact you. That is the core of our service, and under some state privacy laws it may count as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information.

Moving companies. We share your name, phone, email, move details and addresses with the moving companies in our network that match your request. Once a mover receives your information, their own privacy practices apply to how they use it. We are not responsible for those practices.

Service providers. We use vendors to host the Site, manage leads and CRM, send texts and emails, place calls, verify phone numbers, and run analytics. They may only use your information to provide services to us.

Advertising and analytics partners. We use tools from companies such as Google and Meta to measure and improve our ads. See Cookies, ad pixels and tracking.

Legal and business reasons. We may disclose information when required by law or legal process, to protect rights, safety or property, or in connection with a merger, sale or financing of our business.

We do not share your information with moving companies or others for any purpose unrelated to the service you requested, except as described in this policy.

Calls, texts and emails

By submitting a quote request, you agree that we and the moving companies we match you with may contact you by phone call, text message and email about your move, including with automated dialing technology and prerecorded or artificial voice, at the number and email you provided. This applies even if your number is on a national or state Do Not Call list. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.

We do not sell or share mobile phone numbers or text messaging opt-in consent with third parties for their own marketing, other than the moving companies matched to your request.

Cookies, ad pixels and tracking

We use cookies, pixels and similar technologies to keep the Site working, remember your form progress, and measure how people find and use the Site. A cookie is a small text file stored on your device.

We use tools such as Google Ads, Google Analytics, the Meta Pixel and call or form tracking software. These tools may collect your IP address, device identifiers, pages viewed and actions taken, and may use your information to show you our ads on other sites and to report which ads led to a quote request. We may send a record that a request was completed, and in some cases hashed contact details, back to ad platforms for this purpose.

Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies in their settings. You can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, and manage ad personalization through your Google and Meta account settings. If you turn cookies off, parts of the Site may not work. We respond to the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal where required by law.

Retention and security

We keep your information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. Quote request data is generally kept for [24] months, then deleted or de-identified unless the law requires us to keep it longer.

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including SSL/TLS encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to stop contacting you, at any time. To make a request, email [[email protected]]. We may need to verify your identity before acting, and we will respond within the time required by law (generally 45 days).

U.S. state residents. If you live in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Utah or another state with a privacy law, you may have the right to:

• Delete or correct your personal information

• Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, and of targeted advertising

• Not be discriminated against for using these rights

In the past 12 months we have collected identifiers (name, email, phone, IP address), geolocation (move addresses), internet activity, and move details, and we have disclosed them to moving companies and service providers as described above. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.

Canadian residents. You may access and correct your personal information and withdraw consent, subject to legal and contractual limits, by contacting us at the address below.

If you are unhappy with our response, you may be able to appeal or complain to your state attorney general or privacy regulator.

Children, changes and contact

Children. The Site is for adults planning a move. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Other sites. The Site may link to websites we do not control, including moving companies' sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

Changes. We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last changed, and material changes will be posted on the Site.
